Reference definitions and terms used throughout Little Bird Trading.
Directional Terms
- Headwinds: Short lean for a given timeframe.
- Tailwinds: Long lean for a given timeframe.
- Perch: No signal and should wait for next trading session.
- Mark: The level, above or below, to potentially express your lean.
Timeframe Terms
- Day Trader: Target holding timeframe of no longer than intraday.
- Trader: Target holding timeframe of days to weeks.
- Investor: Target holding timeframe of weeks to months.
Terms
- Coverage: The set of assets included in a daily report.
- Shortlist: The reduced set of candidates selected after scanning.
- Execution Layer: Spreadsheets and MyLinedChart lean lines.
- Process Review: Post-session evaluation of discipline and decision quality.
Additional Terms
- Regime: Overall directional environment indicated by signal distribution.
- Alignment: When setup direction and lean context match.
- Context Drift: When conditions change and invalidate prior assumptions.
- Execution Discipline: Following predefined rules despite emotional pressure.
